Joel’s 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Joel’s birthday two weeks late, since we were at camp during his birthday.  He loves animals right now, so we decided to go with a jungle theme.

Spain Camp 2009

This summer we got to go to camp in Spain with Stephen; this year we just went in August instead of July.  The long trip isn’t so much fun, but it is well worth the fun time when we arrive!  The boys love having so much place to just run around and have fun.  I enjoy fellowship with old friends from Spain and a different pace than at home.  Stephen enjoys not having to be away from his family.

Swimming is a special part of going to camp.  This year Micah learned to swim in the big pool with just his little floaties.spaincamp0907spaincamp0909

Hot Air Balloon Show

Every year in August, Magdeburg has a hot air balloon festival.  This year we finally managed to go on the first night.  The park where it takes place has many other attractions, and we visited the butterfly house first, since we had already paid the entrance fee.  I think we ended up seeing a total of about 24 hot air balloons.

Sweet Baby Doll

I know that I am biased, but our little Hannah is such a sweetie!  After having two boys I wasn’t sure if I was ready for a girl, but it has been fun dressing her up in all her little girlie clothes.  It is hard to believe how quickly she is growing.  These pictures are of Hannah at 7 weeks old.  Then at the end I posted a family picture we had taken this past Sunday (Hannah at 12 weeks).

Before Stephen went to camp, we visited our good friends, the Görnandts, in Halberstadt.  Here Hannah is 5 weeks old and Olivia is 1 week old.

Summertime Fun

The week after the Musical Mission Team was here, the Matthias and McKenzies were both gone for a family reunion.  We set up a pool Stephen had bought in the Matthia’s yard, and let the boys enjoy the warm weather in the water.  They also just enjoyed being able to run around with lots of space in the Matthia’s yard.
